Dear Friends,

The ongoing mission of Indianhead Community Action Agency is to secure all available resources, local, state, private and federal to enable low-income and disadvantaged persons of all ages in rural areas to attain the skills; knowledge and motivation that are needed to become self-sufficient.

Indianhead Community Action Agency focuses on developing partnerships with persons from different backgrounds and in various stages of life, may they be elderly individuals or families in the agency's service area to create opportunities for them to improve their lives.

Our clientele are individuals and families at low and moderate-income levels. The basic service area includes Burnett, Clark, Rusk, Sawyer, Taylor and Washburn counties in Northwestern Wisconsin.

Local boards have oversight over Community Action Program Agencies such as Indianhead. Board membership represents the following three diverse groups:

Indianhead has been serving the economically disadvantaged in Northwest Wisconsin since 1966. It is a people oriented action agency which provides services to many areas in need throughout northwestern and parts of north central Wisconsin.
