Connections Store & More offers an emergency food pantry, a Thrift store, Judicare applications, and Safe Link cell phone applications. Our food pantries are able to provide healthy food options to clients that normally do not have access to healthy foods. We also provide emergency clothing and furniture to clients in need. We give referrals to several agencies and businesses in each of our counties.
Clients must meet the federal poverty guidelines set by the state to be eligible for our food pantries (per TEFAP requirements). Everyone qualifies for our referral services.
We have a total of 10 part-time employees and 6 full-time employees. We also have close to 100 volunteers and program workers throughout our 5 locations.
We are always looking for volunteers in our food pantries and thrift stores.
Our food pantries receive a small amount of money from the USDA for our food pantries. We recieve a couple small grants and donations from area businesses/churches as well as donations from the general public. The sale of gently used items at our Connections Stores go to support rent/mortgage payments on our buildings, utilities for our buildings, staff wages, as well as allow us to order extra food for our food pantries.
