Our Agency

Indianhead Community Action Agency is a private, non-profit agency established in 1966 that provides programs and services to address the needs of low-income children, families, individuals, seniors, and veterans in six primary counties in Northwestern Wisconsin. The Agency was established during the Johnson Administration under the Economic Opportunity Act and the “War on Poverty” to create new opportunities to help individuals attain self-sufficiency.

ICAA’s Board of Directors contains representatives from Burnett, Clark, Rusk, Sawyer, Taylor, and Washburn counties.

The assessment looks at areas such as poverty level, wage disparity, living wage, unemployment, COVID-19, and more.

ICAA serves with excellence, compassion, and responsiveness to meet the needs of those with whom we work – internally and externally.

We act within the spirit of agreements, contracts, and the law with intentions and activity intended to be transparent and above reproach.
