Community Service Block Grant (CSBG)
Emergency Services Program

CSBG can assist qualifying individuals with past-due payments including mortgage payments, rent, security deposits, utilities, cell phones/phone cards, auto repairs, and more. This program serves Burnett, Clark, Rusk, Sawyer, Taylor, and Washburn Counties.

to determine if someone should contact their local agency for Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) financial and emergency support

1. Is your household income at or below federal guidelines?
2. Are you facing an immediate financial or emergency hardship?
3. Do you live within the local agency’s service area?
4. Are you willing to participate in a needs assessment or self-sufficiency plan?

CSBG funds are provided based on household eligibility and the type of need. Assistance is awarded on a first‑come, first‑served basis to eligible households that submit all required documentation, as funding remains available.
